Job Description


The Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Association (EPA) is a national association of pharmacists in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. The association was incepted in 1974 with the objectives of upholding the honor and ethics of the profession, safeguarding the professional rights of its members and working to ensure that the public gets quality pharmaceutical products and services.

  • Read and analyze incoming memos, letters and reports in order to determine their plan for distribution
  • Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondences including faxes and emails
  • File and retrieve organizational documents, records and reports
  • Assist in the collection of members’ annual fees
  • Welcome visitors and direct them to access specific individuals in the office
  • Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management system and performing basic book keeping work
  • Prepare meetings and make arrangements for committees and others
  • Compile, transcribe and distribute minutes
  • Coordinate and direct office services such as records preparation, personnel management and house keeping
  • Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents using word processing and other presentation modalities
  •  Assist implementation of administrative policies and procedures for the office
  • Assist the supervision and training of other clerical staffs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director


  • Employment term: One year with possibility of extension

Job Requirements


  • At least diploma in secretarial science or other related fields
  • At least five years related work experience for a diploma and 3 years work experience for a bachelor degree
  • Qualified/certified in basic computer skills
  • Proficient in MaS word, excel, power point
